100+ FBA Pending Orders

Hello! Really hoping I can get some actual help here and would appreciate if someone can point me in the right direction to get this resolved.

Our store has 100+ pending FBA orders and I reached out to support for help. I included the oldest three pending FBA orders since they are as old as two months. Below is what I said and the two attachments are what was sent while making my case (ID 15910369651):

Our store has over 100 pending FBA orders with some orders as old as two months. These pending orders are tying up our inventory and we need it resolved.

113-7427070-7865852

112-4507469-3557039

113-5270868-0299452 and a hundred more orders. Pleases get back to us so we can get this fixed as soon as possible

As per your correspondence, I understand that you contacted us regarding pending FBA orders for 113-7427070-7865852, 112-4507469-3557039, 113-5270868-0299452.

We have looked into the situation and confirmed that our systems are functioning correctly. We will only ship an order after we confirm payment with a buyer. If a valid proof of payment is not provided during the payment validation cycle, the order is automatically cancelled by Amazon.

Any orders with payment issues will be automatically investigated and canceled where necessary in a timely manner to alleviate any inventory issues. We would like to reassure you that pending orders canceled by Amazon do not impact your order cancelation metric.

FBA orders can also be pending for issues with availability, such as inventory being inbound or in transshipment. In this case, the order will ship once the destination Fulfillment Center has finished processing it. If the expected ship date is exceeded, customers will receive the option to continue to wait for the order to ship, or to cancel the order. Order cancelations initiated by customers do not impact your order cancelation metric.

Since that was of no help and they didn't even acknowledge how old these pending orders are, what can I do now? Also, the link they sent does not work and they reported my case as answered, when it clearly is not. Can someone from amazon please get back to me about this? I've read so many other posts about '21 days pending' when that is not the case. Please let me know!

I have the same problem and Amazon is absolutely zero help. Most of customer service is off shore and they are reading a script. I have been an FBA seller for seven years and this has never happened. Something isn’t right with Amazon. There is no way it takes weeks to verify payment and it can’t be inventory because I sell books and only send in individual books so inventory has to be there. The other problem is when the order is cancelled after weeks of holding up your inventory it doesn’t reappear in your inventory to resell.

My team and I are eagerly awaiting your response. We even have customer wanting to know what the hold up is with his order (fulfilled by FBA) that he placed back on August 13th that hasn't shipped yet. Order number 112-3356524-2044260. Since it's FBA, we asked him to reach out to amazon's customer service and they told him 'that the item may not be available at a fulfillment center near me. So, I continue to wait...' Please see the attachment.

I took a look at it and his order shows as pending payment, but that is not what amazon customer service told him. Would you be able to provide some clarity? Please let us know.

I have been contacting the customer service, and I have also got the same exact response from customer service. You can see the attached picture. I have 212 pending order as of today and the number is increasing everyday and some are waiting 2 months now. Looks like there is a problem with Amazon, because we are not the only ones.

NEED HELP!!!!! NOT GENERIC MESSAGES!!!!!!

I asked the same question in another thread and someone answered that it is most likely due to the inventory being not yet available in FBA.

I realized some of mine that were pending for a month plus was probably due to the "heads up" inventory restock process - they pre-sold inventory that wasn't in stock yet (I hadn't even sent it) and the sometimes month long process to get it checked in and available is added to that original lag time.
