Regarding account status and use of illegal words

Hello everyone,

Regarding account status, illegal words, and illegal trademarks. I have changed the offending words I used. But next to the account status, which was supposed to be editing information, changed to submitting an appeal. The amended form has been submitted, but his record has not yet been expunged. How to deal with this situation? I don't want to file an appeal and admit this violation to Amazon.

Hi, I would assume since you have had a notification from Amazon that the issue of admitting it to Amazon is long since passed.

If your listings have been flagged, then Amazon know. Whethere you Admit it or not, its largely irrelevant they know.

It depends on what type of notification you have had, without seeing it, then it is difficult to comment.

If its a notification of Amazon telling you that they suspect your product infringes and then you have the opportunity to edit the listing and its reinstated, then thats what you need to do. Review not only the listing affected, but any others and make sure they are compliant.

Repeated infringements can lead to account suspension.

If this is a policy violation, as in someone has reported you or you have had a performance notification, then Amazons terms are that you need to close ANY affected listings, or those which may be affected, you then need to review them, clean them and make sure no others infringe.

You would then reply to the noficiation regarding this, advising how this happened, were you aware of the trademark ? was it a genuine mistake ? and also what steps you have taken now and in future to prevent this happening.

Then dependent on the answer, Amazon may leave a notification on your account or may give you a warning.

If you have NOT infringed then you would need to notify Amazon and display how you have not infringed. Typically this would would be evidencing that the trademark was not used incorrectly, or that you have the appropriate authority in letter or email form from the owner.

Usually policy warnings last 180 days from date of issue.

If you have infringed, then its best to identify why, own up, and put in place details of how to prevent this in future.

Denying it, if there is clear evidence otherwise is not a wise decision.
