amazon account closed still asking for a charge method

i closed my amazon account months ago but amazon is still asking for charge methods to charge my card . if my account is inactive why do i keep receiving emails to add a active charge method . i didnt have any removable inventory and listings were inactive at the time of closing so what am i being charged for.

"Inactive" and "Closed" are different things.

You cannot close an account if there are any issues with it, including if there is not a valid charge method. If you are on the Pro plan, Amazon will want to charge you the monthly fee; if you are on the individual, Amazon will still ask for a card, as having one on file is a requirement for the account.

You can either provide a valid charge card, then once the account is in good standing, close it. Or (if you are not on the pro plan) just ignore the requests and walk away.
