Unable to close & delete account data -GPDR violation AND unable to contact Amazon re suspension of my account

Hi there

I have been trying to contact amazon with regards to closing my account down as per policy but no luck. Not able to get through in any respect, and am absolutely frustrated by this.

On top of that, I tried to open a new seller account under my business name, but that account was immediately suspended upon sign up (I presume because you cannot have more than 1 seller account).

I have tried to follow amazon policy and close down all my accounts before opening a new one, but no one responds to my cases about closing down this account, Amazon rejects all of my case logs immediately, and so I am left with little ability to do anything.

Please provide some guidance as to what you need from me to close this account and unsuspend my new account: purchasing @ charlieslocal.com

I await your response urgently.

In any case I am unable to get through about deletion of this account, I will be forced to contact ombudsman regarding misuse of personal data under the GDPR laws in the EU.

Firstly, no-one here can help you, as we do not have access to your account - this is a forum for other sellers, not Amazon itself you are speaking to.

Is your first account suspended / deactivated ? - if so you cannot close a deactivated account - you would need to get it reactivated first to then request that it is closed.

Yes, a new account would automatically be deactivated for that very reason of linked accounts.

I would also suspect you will find Amazon is allowed to keep the relevant data under GDPR as it would be deemed necessary in terms of financial data
