Utility bills can't be verified. Please help! 🙏

Good afternoon everyone.

I wanted to know if anyone could help me out with this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I opened an Amazon account two weeks ago under my LLC's name (I live outside of the US, but I opened the account with my LLC). Shortly after it was activated, Amazon suspended it saying they needed an utility bill stating my name and address in it to be able to verify my identity. I've already sent different utility bills multiple times, but all of them were rejected and I got the same automated rejection email. I've also tried to contact Amazon seller support via email and phone many times, but they always told me the same thing the emails said, "we can't verify the documents you provided", not stating a specific reason why. I'm starting to think it may be because of my address, I don't quite know where I have to put my LLC's legal address and where I have to put my actual residential address from outside of the US. I've tried to change the address many times and then sent the utility bill stating said address again, but I've had no luck.

Is there anything I'm doing wrong? Where do I put my actual residential address and where do I have to state my company's legal address?

As I said, I really appreciate any help you guys can provide. Thanks in advance!

Go over everything with a magnifying glass looking for a missing 'period' or 'comma'.

Is there a different capitalization, abbreviation, spelling, or, even an extra spa ce?

When Amazon says something must match they mean EXACTLY!

That means Street is not ST.

Jim is not James.

ALL CAPS is not SOme CAps

They mean every comma, period, dash, etc. must be EXACTLY THE SAME INCLUDING SPACE S.

Hi there @Seller_5APqAbElVQEOV,

I hope this finds you well!

"I opened an Amazon account two weeks ago under my LLC's name (I live outside of the US, but I opened the account with my LLC). Shortly after it was activated, Amazon suspended it saying they needed an utility bill stating my name and address in it to be able to verify my identity."

I understand you have recently opened a selling account and are working to verify the information provided during registration.

This is a process all sellers go through this in order to maintain a safe and trusted space for both buyers and sellers alike. Information such as identity and business address are compared to both a government-issued photo ID and a utility bill for the address listed within seller central.

In order to ensure your documents are not rejected, make sure that they meet the following requirements:

  • Be valid (not expired, revoked, inactive or closed).
  • In order to ensure your documents are not rejected, make sure that they meet the following requirements
  • Be high resolution and unobstructed (clear, readable, visible and in focus).
  • Be complete and not cut off from any sides (not angled or cropped).
  • Be a scanned image or photo of the original document taken from your mobile device's camera.
  • Display the full document (front and back, if applicable).
  • Be less than 50MB in size.
  • Be in one of these formats: TIF, TIFF, PNG, JPG, PDF, and JPEG. Do not include special characters in the file name (examples: $, &, or #).
  • Be authentic and unaltered.
  • Must not be password-protected.
  • Be in one of these supported languages: Arabic, Simplified Chinese, Dutch, English, French, German, Hindi, Italian, Japanese, Polish, Portuguese, Spanish, Swedish, Tamil, Thai, Turkish, and Vietnamese. If your documents are not in a supported language, you must submit a notarized translation in a supported language along with the original document.

Please ensure the documents being provided meet each of the aforementioned requirements and is a water, natural or piped gas, electricity, mobile phone, or internet bill.

If you are experiencing issues with one type of utility bill, please feel free to submit a different bill.

As always, do not hesitate to further reply here so the community and I can continue to support you.

All the best,

Stevie.
