Late Shipment Delivery Risk for orders that came in yesterday

Today all of my orders that came in yesterday that I am trying to ship today via USPS Ground Advantage have a "Late Delivery Risk" label attached to the buying the shipping service. This is absolutely ridiculous. These are standard shipping orders that are not even 23 hours old. So now is this glitch in the Amazon buy shipping going to count against my performance metrics? Because there is no way I am spending double the amount on shipping than is necessary because Amazon's bot has it wrong yet again. Once again, more stress than necessary to actually try and meet Amazon's ridiculous shipping times and inaccurate AI bot shipping preferences. This needs fixing.

This is happening to us too! We changed most to Media Mail but had to do it individually.

the problem is that the AI(program, because AI is still code and does not think or adjust to reality) is not recognizing Amazon shipping holidays. Ie 4th July , And all posted postal holidays . It is not picking up on Sundays either . This is then creating unreal delivery windows . Some are as little as a day . Calling to support does not help either as the canned response is that the bot knows what it is doing . Just go with flow and metrics will adjust . Very frustrating but easier than banging head into wall and trying to get supposed to kelp . ( I did open case so this reply is based in fact. )

Total BS must be Amazons way of forcing you to pay more or when customs say they dont get Amazon is not going to cover as it was shipped with possible late kinda like the price fixing with potential high pricing errors!

We had the same issue. Go to your Shipping Settings. Under General Shipping Settings, see if Amazon has turned on the AUTOMATED HANDLING TIME.

I reviewed a selection of active orders and did not see any obvious issues with available/protected shipping services. Shipping services selected by SSA were showing as protected in Buy Shipping. I understand that this is a small sample size, so if you can share a Case ID detailing orders and screenshots you believe demonstrate an issue, I can share those with our partner team for review.

We are continuing to share reports with our partner teams about the issue of discrepancies between the shipping service used to calculate the delivery promise and the services available as OTDR/Claims Protected.

Speaking more generally: transit times are still being affected by peak-period network constraints, and there is a major winter storm affecting some areas and shipping services.

I am also having this issue. It seems the only option to not have your on time delivery rate impacted is to pay the $13.00 expedited shipping. If you find a work around, please post. Happens to me more on weekends.

Same happened to me! I give FREE shipping on ALL my orders. They are guaranteeing 2 day delivery to people who pay like $3 for a "standard shipping" upgrade. That SHOULD entitle them to a Priority Mail upgrade, which is 3-4 days. Instead Amazon's AI is promising everyone "2 day delivery". Only problem is USPS doesn't even HAVE a 2 day service!

The USPS ONLY has 3 services, USPS Ground, 3-4 Day Priority Mail, and OVERNIGHT (FedEx), which usually costs $30-50 (more than the entire cost of the product). Nobody's shipping a $40 product that normally costs $5 to ship USPS Ground, OVERNIGHT at the cost of $50, just because Amazon's AI MIXED UP the delivery date promise for all the orders! I saw this repeatedly when I was in the throes of busy season in December, and it was incredibly frustrating. When you go from shipping 10 orders a day, to 50 a day, and suddenly half the orders have to go via a 2nd or 3rd shipping courier just to avoid OTDR PENALTIES because the AI overpromised on delivery dates, it becomes a logistical nightmare. Suddenly PRIORITY MAIL (USPS' STANDARD UPGRADE SERVICE) SUDDENLY IS LISTED AS "RED" WARNING OF ARRIVING LATE! USPS IS THE #1 COURIER IN THE COUNTRY! WHY IS THEIR PRIORITY SVC SHOWING UP AS "LATE DELIVERY WARNING" FOR STANDARD UPGRADE SVC WHERE BUYER BARELY PAID $3???? I ended up having to go to 3 different shippers every day, just to avoid OTDR LATE penalties. And STILL after ALL of that, my OTDR rate is STILL RIGHT AT 90%. DESPITE 99% ON TIME SHIPPING RATE?

The AI has MOST DEFINITELY, FAILED ON THIS ONE.

As stated on another forum, the only option is to find FedEx or UPS with a 2 day delivery svc, but they are NOT convenient because there is no place you can drop off UPS after hours. AND, UPS OR FED EX 2 day service is often *DOUBLE* the cost of USPS Ground, and Amazon customers only pay $3, meaning we EAT The difference of $4-6 for the $13 upgrade svc out of pocket! WHY IS THE AI GIVING PEOPLE 2 DAY DELIVERY PROMISES WHEN THE #1 COURIER IN THE COUNTRY, USPS, DOESN'T EVEN OFFER A SERVICE OF THAT SPEED??? THE AI IS BROKEN, AND SELLERS ARE PAYING THE LOGISTICAL PRICE OUT OF OUR PROFITS AND OUR TIME IF YOU ASK ME.
