Mary Whitehouse is alive and well and patrolling the Amazon Catalogue
I have just received a number of violations on my account for products that are not permitted to be listed on Amazon.
All of them include the forbidden word SEX - included in the offensive items list are a DVD of the SEX Pistols and the 1973 comedy No Sex Please we are British.
Are any of the other media sellers being hit by this?
I submitted an appeal as soon as I became aware this was happening but it looks like the Mary Bot is still on the war path as violations are still appearing on my Account Health page.

The issue here is that there is no human intervention and I include seller support in that, these bots are allowed to run riot and nobody is monitoring them.
You can be assured that in the last 18 months about 40% of the Amazon catalogue has been removed and the majority of these should not have been.
Add them to all the listings that contain incorrect information that nobody will change and the catalogue team really have important questions to answer.

Bots rule, OK? For some reason, they think that the classic 'Seven Pillars of Wisdom' by T.E Lawrence contains offensive material. Pillars, eh? nudge, nudge, wink, wink. And as for anything with Essex or Scunthorpe in the title ....

We had a shark character sleeping bag removed because apparently it contained shark's teeth which are a forbidden item to sell on Amazon...
Just to clarify it's made of fleece fabric and is for kids....
