Brand name listed as generic
There is a product that is a brand name. Someone has listed the item as generic. So when it is searched that is the product that pops up. But when I tried to add my product to the listing it is giving me an error that I can not list under someone elses generic brand. But this brand is not generic and a very well know name brand. How do I get around this so that I can list my items?

This seller acts against the rules, like thousand others. It is not allowed to show, mention and sell a BRANDED product as Generic. And in deed, now it is no longer possible for other sellers to join a generic listing.
If you want to list that brand make sure you have invoices (not receipts) from an AUTHORIZED distributor. Then ask the brand owner for a "Letter of authorization" to sell on Amazon. then create a listing, not a generic one, but a branded one.

Hi @Seller_mhqM2zvBrAAay- and welcome to the seller forums! Thanks for posting this and I'll second the insight offered by @Seller_rI7BZIczK8iAC!
I will add that you can use the Report a Violation pathway to make our teams aware of the listing you viewed. I'll also link our Generic product policy and Help Page for Letters of Authorization in case they prove useful as you look to list products associated by the brand.
Thanks again and do let me know if I can help answer any other questions on this topic!
Thanks,
Danny
