Do we need to get VAT registered for Remote fulfillment With FBA Program.

Hi,

I want to expand my product to All Europe using Remote Fulfillment with FBA Program but I am unsure of few things.

I hope you can guide.

1. Do I need to get VAT registered in UK to sell in Europe using RFWFBA Program.

2. If I don't need VAT. Am I Responsible for Laws and Taxes for Europe.

Would love to hear from anyone who have inventory in UK and is selling in Europe.

Thanks

No, "With Remote Fulfilment between the UK and EU, you generally aren't required to register for Value Added Tax (VAT) in the destination store."

The tax responsibilities are handled as follows:

  • For B2B sales: The buyer is the importer of record and pays import VAT and duties
  • For B2C sales ≤ €150/£135: Amazon accounts for what the buyer pays at checkout
  • For B2C sales > €150/£135: The buyer is the importer of record and pays import VAT and duties

However, you must ensure your products comply with local regulations in your intended store.

(Note: As mentioned in the help page, this VAT information is for general reference only and is not tax advice. Consult your tax advisor for further information.)

All the best, Ezra!
