Can a seller list our items without holding stock?
Hi,
A seller is listing against several of our ASIN’s but we know for certain they do not have the stock. We are assuming if they get an order they then order from us to fulfil the order - they are also UK based but have a much longer delivery time. Is this permitted and if not, what can i do?
Thanks.

It sounds like they are ‘DropShipping’.
They way they’re doing it is against the terms of their Amazon account.
What difference does it really make to you though?
If they’re buying it from you, at the price you’re happy to sell it for, then it’s more sales for you either way.

It makes a big difference as the seller keeps updating the listings with incorrect images & copy, and they are unresponsive to requests not to do this.

We had a company who did this to us, although I would agree that the item is still being purchased from you at a cost you are happy with. The question I would ask is this. If that seller does not deal with the buyer in the same manner you would, with the same professionalism you may give to them. Could you get a bad review on the product that is not from your doing? The answer is a most definite yes!
This happened to us a while ago and it did have an impact on a particular product and did impact our sales. This is possibly why Amazon do not want drop shippers.
