Had No Access to Seller Central Due to Card Expring in 6 months

Hello Amazon Family,

I was not able to log into my seller account for the last hour due to the typical credit card situation that many of us face here. My card on file expires in August. I went to log in after lunch and a page came out with update your credit / debit card information. Therefore, thankfully, I had another card on file that expires in 2028. I just wanted everyone to know that if your card is expiring within the next 6 months, you should update it. When I clicked on Amazon Seller Central on the left, it would just lead me to a page to enter a new credit or debit card. I had NO access to anything, which is very scary. Thankfully, I was verified within a minute. But that is very scary to not be able to log in for 48 hours to confirm shipment and answer customers.

I also now see that I was enrolled in the Brazil marketplace. Has anyone gone through something like this?

Hi @Seller_GDHNUE0mJYvka,

Steve from Amazon here, thank you for reaching out. Charge methods can become invalid if the expiration date falls within 6 months of the current date. In that situation, sellers should add a new credit card that meets the requirements outlined within this thread.

Brazil has been added to the North America Unified Accounts for sellers based in the United States and China. For more information n this subject please reference this thread.

If you do not wish to sell in a certain store within the North America and Brazil Unified Account, you can delete any active listings and remove inventory in that store. You can then put that store into vacation mode.

Please let me know if there are any other questions.

Thanks,

Steve
