Safe-T Claims: Ridiculously Low Compensation
Has any seller received full compensation for a returned item?
I have had 2 orders returned, both supplied in good condition, not required, returned and arrived damaged.
Both times Amazon have offered less than 50% of the sale value and neither covering my costs incurred.
No explanation of how Amazon arrived at either figure has been forthcoming despite repeated requests.
Reading through the threads not fully compensating sellers whilst retaining their fees appears to be a deliberate policy of Amazon.

We've never had a full compensation. I think we've only received more than 20%ish once. Usually the compensation is insultingly low.

On SFP, we have had 100% back (other than the sale fee, which is sort of fair enough). However, that was long ago.
It then they showed a policy where it changed to 50% back (and they keep the fees).
Since it was open to non-SFP, as well as SFP, it seems like it is 20% to 25% (and they keep the fees). Unless you can prove a total loss, and Amazon at fault, etc. Had 1 of those recently, and they did pay in full (other than their fees), that was not for a received back damaged though.
I have found if you raise with them, prove more, you get a bit more, but usually so much work, you know they are deliberately wanting it to cost say 1 to 2 hours to maybe get a few £'s back.
By their actions, I think it shows they hope you only claim for larger claims and ignore lower cost ones as not worth the time.
