Trying to close my account.

I am trying to close my account but am unsure if I am doing all the steps in order. Every time I call support, I get a different answer. or told I needed to follow the steps. My credit card was revoked as My husband got sick and I could not pay. Now I cannot get my money from Amazon that they owe me. I am so confused. Please help..

You cannot close an account that is not in good standing. You will need to pay what you owe.

Hi @Seller_0o4cWxT970tMg,

I'm so sorry to hear about your husband's illness and the difficult situation you're in.

According to the Funds disbursement eligibility policy (link), you can email disbursement-appeals@amazon.com after 60 days from your account deactivation date. The help page states: "We will release any remaining funds (less any amounts used to offset amounts you owe us) after evaluating your account [...] and confirming your identity."

During this process, you'll likely need to provide some documentation to verify your identity and financial information. It might be helpful to gather these materials ahead of time and keep copies of everything you submit.

I know dealing with account issues can be overwhelming, especially when you're also managing health concerns. I hope this information helps point you in the right direction for recovering your funds.

Best regards, Michael
