Browse Nodes Invalid?
When attempting to create a new listing or even editing an existing one, Amazon are now flagging the browse node as invalid.
I have tried to choose alternative options (even those unrelated) but it will not accept any!

Hi All,
Recently listing a product with variations. Unfortunately, the category that similar products are under no longer give the option for variations (it seems)… I’ve had to list under the next best option however, I am worry I will not rank organically.
Any suggestions on how to get this browse node to offer variations? Seems that older listings have been able to offer variations…
Any suggestions are welcomed, thanks!

My thoughts were to move it from one browse node and attempt to move it back.
Currently I can’t move the listing into the browse node I want, as the child ASINs are in the correct node. When I attempt to move them at the moment Amazon are informing me that the listing are already in the browse node…
If it helps the browse node is Fitness Straps

My product ASIN B08HS7ZHPY has lost its browse node. It used to be easily found in the browse node (product category) of ‘Drinking Games’, which it clearly is. We ranked #3 at one point and sales were high and product was easily found. We stocked the FBA warehouses due to the success and then suddenly our BSR was lost. 10 times trying to contact Amazon to figure out why, 10 automated responses that were no help at all.
They will start charging us for FBA storage soon as 700 units sit there, unfindable on Amazon as we have no BSR/browse nodes and have no way of finding out how to work around it.
We’ve tried:
- changing browse nodes in Manage Inventory (each suggestion of ours gets rejected by an automated response)
- changing product details
- contacting Amazon 10 times to request more information/to delve deeper
So in short, yes I would worry about this. I’d think long and hard about selling on Amazon as it’s completely out of your hands whether it goes well or you’re stung by Amazon themselves.
If we can find an answer here, or if any sellers reading this have any experiences/advice then that would be of great help.

When uploading a new item to sell I am currently having an issue with the “recommended browse nodes”
It keeps coming up with the error “the value specified is invalid” what does this mean?
I have tried changing to select different categories but whatever I choose this error seems to return and I’m unable to finish creating my listing.
Does anyone know the issue?

We too had this issue, so frustrating and I got the standard templated reply from SS.
I decided to try it via excel sheet upload, this came back with an error about it being identified as a different node, but I think it still uploaded it into my inventory list. I then did ‘request a product detail page’ and using the newly created ASIN I requested for the node to be changed/updated, and much to my surprise it was!

same here. I’ve tried contacting everyone after 10 automated responses to case logs raised. I then commented on a thread on this forum, @Maja_Amazon responded asking for case ID’s, and now I’m stuck in an infinite login loop trying tor respond with Case ID’s to that comment!
Absolute shambles. @Maja_Amazon if you’re here on this thread, the latest case ID’s that we have raised for this issue are:
8309756972
8311024012
8323773822
If there is anybody (a human) who you can get to look at these issues, it would be much appreciated.

I was advised by Amazon that I required a full feed update. We have over 800 listings which were manually entered without using an excel sheet so there’s NO WAY I’m wasting time doing that!
I since realised with one of my existing listings that the Brand name was incorrect which is causing the issue.

Good morning all!
I have merged all the posts from last days regarding browse nodes issues. Before moving on, please lets confirm in this thread if you are still experiencing the issue (if yes, please post also the case ID you opened with Seller Support and ideally the ASIN as well).
Once I have all the information, I will check if there is anything I can do to help you.
Regards,
Maja
