Ive been deactivtived

i keep replying but im not got the wright words .i did not post for 5 days due to bank holidays and was slow putting on tracking numbers and left it 2 days and did not put the correct day i posted {Moderator Edit (Jessica) personal information removed}
Root cause

Delay in posting I should have contacted you . and put that i was on holiday, which was my error ive never used it but that was the corrected thing to do, I did email people. My customers mean everything to me so i sent them a message.

Bank holiday post office closed for 5 days so no post could be posted all customers were imformed. I was thanked for letting people know.

The error was not cancel (closed for holiday) for the 5 days

The error was not putting on tracking numbers first thing Tuesday.

When i posted on Tuesday i should have put the tracking numbers in straightaway / i answered question took new orders and packed them up for next post. Again i did not do it in correct order.

I have taken on a retired post office worker who will arrange collections and put info on tracking on to my site. Thank you for your help

I have a sheet put in the office, to close during holidays . and to questions as quick as possible and all holidays put it on my shop to stop

You have a lot of spelling and grammatical errors in there, I’m not trying to be mean by pointing them out but it may not translate well so, for that reason, it would be best to correct them.

Also, Amazon are not going to be interested in your ill health, they will have expected you to put systems in place if you are unable to do things yourself.

Don’t send either of these (and definitely not both) until people have been able to offer some advice

I will try to rewrite some of this for you but, personally, I feel your best chance of success is to say that you will a) extend your dispatch time, and b) buy your postage through Amazon so that tracking is uploaded automatically.

I have rewritten it how I think it should be but, please bear in mind, I am not an expert (I just have a background in magazines so am a ‘wordy’ person!) Other people may have other advice so it’s worth waiting until they are all up tomorrow morning for further input.

There are a couple of things that I have put into bold which you should only put in if it is true, I have just assumed that your late dispatch rate exceeded 4% and, if the packages did still arrive on time that would be great and worth putting in but, obviously, only if it is true

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to appeal my account being deactivated because my late dispatch rate had exceeded 4%.

Root cause

  • I confirmed orders as dispatched prior to my usual collection from Royal Mail but the collection was cancelled (Thursday 1st April.)
  • As this was the Easter Bank Holiday weekend, when the Post Office is closed, my first opportunity to post the orders was then Tuesday 6th April.
  • Although this was done as soon as the Post office opened that morning I did not upload tracking numbers immediately. I gave priority to dispatching new orders that had been placed over the Easter weekend and then uploaded all tracking numbers at the same time.

The actions I took to resolve the issue:

  • As soon as I realised that the packages were going to be delayed I contacted the buyers to apologise.
  • The orders were posted as soon as the Post Office opened after the Easter Bank Holidays
  • The packages still arrived within the estimated delivery date
  • I have extended my handling time

The steps I have taken to prevent the issue going forward:

  • As mentioned above, I have extended my handling time
  • I will now buy my postage from Amazon so the tracking number is uploaded automatically
  • I have employed a part time member of staff to take the packages to the Post Office each day so we don’t have to rely on them being collected
  • I will extend my handling time even further around Bank Holidays

I’ve just spotted that you mention delays on the intro on your storefront as if they are a regular occurrence, it might be worth taking that down until this is resolved?

To change your lead time just follow the steps below (or ask your friend to):

Go into ‘settings’ (top right) and choose ‘account info’
Click on ‘Shipping and returns information’ and then ‘Shipping settings’
Click edit (top right)
Change ‘transit time’ from 2-3 days to 3-5 days

This will give you an extra couple of days to play with if anything like this happens again, plus it will help your case when you submit your POA if you can show that you have already done this.
