Change Ship From Location Without Enabeling Automation

Hello,

Im having a hard time changing my "Ship from" location without enabling SSA.

We use 2 different warehouses to ship from, one in Florida and one in Texas. On the shipping template, when I change the product to ship from Texas, it automatically enables SSA and does not allow me to remove it. I have tried making a new template but it still does not allow me to turn off the SSA.

For example, this has allowed customers that are ordering something to Florida from the Texas warehouse to select one day shipping. Which unfortunately isn't possible with the large items that we sell.

Hi @Seller_x4NxSro0yvMZn,

Given that you're shipping large items, have you considered using Amazon's Freight Shipping Template? I found some helpful information about it here: Freight-shipping templates for less-than-truckload (LTL) shipments

This template is specifically designed for large items that meet any of these criteria:

  • Weight of 50 lbs or more
  • Length of 96 inches or more
  • Or when length + 2*(width + height) is 130 inches or more

What I really like about this option is that it includes "Arranged Freight Delivery." This means you can contact customers within 2 business days to set up a delivery time that works for both parties. You'll find the details about this in the "Delivery options for freight-shipping template" section of the help page.

This could help prevent those unrealistic one-day shipping promises you mentioned, plus you can even set different rates for residential and commercial deliveries if needed.

Just a heads up - you'll need to request access to use this template. There's a form link in the help page (look for the note at the top), and Amazon typically responds within 15 business days.

Hope this helps!

Best regards, Michael

Hi @Seller_x4NxSro0yvMZn, just curious, do you have different order cut-off times for the locations? I'm wondering if that may be an issue since you must use SSA on your shipping templates if you would like different cut-off times. Otherwise, the cut-off time of your default fulfillment center will apply to all orders.
