Yep, bizarrely quiet for the last 7 days or so.

This weekend was unprecedented in terms of low sales.

Hi, After 13 years on Amazon sales are just dying off and last month has been so poor. My sales loss is down to the chinese sellers selling similar items for pennies.

How can we compete against the chinese sellers - WE CANNOT.
EXAMPLE:
1 hanging glass bauble used to sell for £5.99 on amazon - this included Royal Mail postage of £2.85 which is the minimum I can send it out within UK for.

Now I have 12 chinese sellers offering same product on numerous amazon pages for £2.29 inclusive of free shipping from China ( BEAR IN MIND THAT THIS ITEM GETS DELIVERED BY OUR OWN ROYAL MAIL)

How can anyone compete with this?
Until international sellers from china are charged same shipping as the UK sellers they have the monopoly on here - SADLY!

Turnover is worse, it’s pretty much looking more like a hobby than a business now, for the first time in 8 years. It used to average out every fortnight but thing’s don’t seem so good, it’s mainly because amazon are getting more greedy, I predicted it would happen but didn’t expect it to happen so soon, lets take book sellers, they were the backbone of amazon, and in return amazon took their buy boxes, and digitalised the books making it impossible to compete, now they are doing it with clothing which is my department, they allow american’s to create products using artwork and amazon will fulfil the product, competition has multiplied by millions, sales seem very rare now.

My products are all unique and I used to achieve 30 sales/day, now when I search for my product, it’s going up against millions of other usa artists, so when I search for something which 2 years ago would return 15 results, now it returns 1500 results and my product is at the back of the Que .

I’m sure once the market has been completely saturated they will then allow everyone else to try and sell their artwork, and they will probably start a subscription fee for it too.

I don’t see thing’s getting any easier, I suppose ebay is looking like the ideal marketplace, although I have always preferred amazon.

Although sales are steady views are well down on previous years. Maybe Amazon can use some of the funds made from “Advertising” to actually advertise “Amazon” to the public…Ebay advertise how diverse their product offer is ! All i see from Amazon is PRIME PRIME PRIME…maybe they could help us to help them ?

Yes definitely. It’s got to the point now where for the first time in selling on Amazon its not viable to pay the £30 monthly fee as my sales have now dropped to less than 30 a month.

been the same for me. First I thought because of the warmer weather people are spending less time shopping online and doing other things. Weirdly, impressions and click through rates on sponsored ads have remain broadly the same so don’t know whats happening now… Any ideas?
