Creating a new ASIN with a UPC that exists on Amazon
Hi,
How do I create a new ASIN using a UPC that's already being used on Amazon.
I understand that Amazon has a policy that doesn't allow creation of multiple product pages using the same UPC.
My issue is that we recently went through re-branding and the same products that we've been selling for a while now have the new brand name on the packaging. Another Amazon policy doesn't allow the brand value on existing product pages to get changed.
In summary 1) I'm not able to change the brand name because they're permanent; 2) I'm not able to create new ASINs (product pages) because the UPCs are already being used on pages that use the old brand name.
Thanks!

Hi @Seller_ND2RgpCfzenDY,
Thanks for reaching out. Since you are rebranding your items, you will be required to use a new UPC on your new brand when you create your new ASIN. You can review the policy for editing detail pages here.
I hope this is helpful!

Hi,
May I ask you how you applied for the upc exemption? That's what bothers me now. My current problem is that the photos he needs, the two packaging pictures with logo that I uploaded, and the various Angle pictures of the foot pads in the driving position of the product, but they are still rejected. I don't know what the problem is.
Thanks!
