The systems a tad tempromental at times I’m not 100% about hsbc but giving its a high Street bank would have thought it would have been OK, if there is no funds in the account or if its a minus then it would fail.
Once your selling no fees would be deducted from it going forward unless you were doing 0 sales so you can add your credit card or another bank card, I have my personal Lloyd’s credit card on as once my barclays account card expired it would not take the new one.

I had this happen on my US account the other day. When I checked the card it was still valid so I have no idea why it said it wasn’t. I just reaffirmed it and everything has been ok since.

Did your HSBC account have a positive balance? Amazon always pings your card to and see if there are funds available, if not that might cause a problem.

Different banks have different levels of compliance then for what ever reason Amazon have decided its not one for all thier locations just to complicate things lol.

Tends to be the case a high Street banks credit cards tends to work as charge method in most instances
