“This item is fake” seller reviews

Hi All,

I’ve had no choice but to reach out as Amazon has been less than helpful with this topic.

We have been targeted by a load of reviews claiming that our products are fake. We buy directly from the manufacturer and have sent the official invoices to Amazon several times proving the authenticity of our goods.

We requested for the reviews to be removed but they say it doesn’t violate the terms yet it is a product review and authenticity has been approved by Amazon themselves?

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated as it feels we are taking a beating here for doing nothing wrong.

Many thanks,

Ben

You’ve got more chance of winning the lottery than getting Amazon to remove a bad review. It’s such a stupid policy to have a ‘free and open feedback forum’ - Opens the doors to competitor sabotage, exortion, slander, all sorts! I had a review on my light-based product saying ‘The quality of this gazebo is awful’ with 1 star. Amazon would not remove it, I had the ticket re-opened more than 10x, in the end I gave up.

@IdealCreations so this is a seller review/rating about how a product is fake… I hear what you are saying though… I too in the past have raised ticket after ticket and have just given up…. Hopefully someone on here can have an answer for us and not give a generic response like Amazon has been doing

In our experience many of the reviews we have received is usually instigated by a competitor trying to discredit you online. Amazon has data which shows the number of products sold compared to the numbers who write fake reviews. If you have provided invoices to show the number of products match the stock advertised that would be normally sufficent. Amazon could also contact the brand owner to verify the purchase if this speeds up the process?

What I have noticed is the fake reviews never mention what is fake about the product was it the packaging, the bottle or logo or material etc etc.

Good Evening Maya,

I have been given a link to this forum as I have been having constant issues with trying to remove a product review on our selling feedback saying that our items are “fake” even after the items being approved by Amazon 4-5 times a year via invoices from the direct manufacturer.

We would really appreciate some assistance in getting this removed as we have attempting so many times and getting nowhere. The order ID number is: 202-3888702-5541925

Looking forward to your response.

Many thanks,

Ben
