Stopping people using my ASIN

Hi all

Is there anyway I can stop people copying my listings on Amazon. Multiple time now people are selling the same headphones as me but using my listing and undercutting price so my listing isn’t the prominent one. Just frustrating that I spent the time to make the listing and purchased EAN numbers I can register the product against

That’s exactly what they should be doing. It isn’t your listing, it’s Amazon’s listing.

AS long as they are selling the exact same item, with the exact name and detail etc then other sellers must use the listing that you created, that is the policy, doing otherwise is against Amazon rules.

Sellers can only attach their offers against listings advertising the identical product as what they are selling. the brand name needs to match as well.

You could place a test buy and if you determine that the merchandise sold by other seller is different, there is an option to submit a report using the “Report a violation” feature.

Just get branded on Amazon and put your name in the listing and created by you field and your sorted, even if other sellers are selling the same product you can get them kicked off your listing, obviously your goods will have to be branded with your name labels packaging etc, but Amazon don’t check this so dont worry about it.
We sell exactly the same products as other sellers who say their goods are branded but when i test buy they are not, they are exactly the same as we buy from the wholesaler, either like it or be devious like most other sellers do, moan over

The system is a mess. I have had a report of an item this week on an asin I sold on.

The seller had changed the brand to his trademark contrary to Amazon policy. The item was originally branded as ‘Bulk Hardware’ which was refused a trademark as the name was considered too generic.

So the seller updated his listing to include a new trademarked brand name and reported me.

Anyway I’m planning to take it up with the md’s office since a seller cannot change the brand on an asin. He or she should create new asins for the trademarked version.

Funny thing is I purchased the item from Amazon itself… And it came in a poly bag with the old name ‘bulk hardware’ on it

One rule for small sellers, one rule for Amazon

You can only stop them if it is your intellectual property. As in your copyright, trademark etc.

Not much point trademarking generic goods.

Having said that - I don’t touch any listings that are trademarked, generic or otherwise.
