New Placement Fees Are Ridiculous!
These new inbound placement fees are completely ridiculous! We have 6 pallets ready to ship and these products used to go to FTW1, which is literally 5 miles away from our warehouse! Now Amazon is wanting us to split this shipment into multiple shipments and pay 4x the amount to send them all over the country.
So, instead we are moving away from FBA and going to ramp up our merchant fulfillment through our own 3PL services. It's more profitable.
Amazon needs to eliminate these insane new placement fees immediately.

This is very sad. It's a huge stab to all of us sellers. I don't know how we are going to survive like this. Bezos just reclaimed the title of the richest man in the World. Makes sense. Very sad.

Same here. Went from 500 bucks to LGB8/LAX9/ONT8 to $4000 in placements fees and $900 to AZ. I do 6-8 FTL's a month. We've already started to move away from FBA. Working on Walmart, Shopify, and Amazon FBM.
This hit too hard. We're moving on.

Completely agree. It's incomprehensible. Unless by strategic decision, Amazon decided to remove many from the business, which was already quite dubious before these latest fees.

Amazon seems to have staffing issue and/or space issues at their receiving centers on the western half of the USA. My products are very small, but they continue to offer me discounts to ship them all the way to PA for receiving. They get checked in way faster. Then, I just checked, they distribute most of them back to the Western half of the country anyways. Amazon is trying to defray their costs at our expense. The cause is their own making. I have removed 1/2 my products from Amazon and will not be adding them back. Other platforms have lower velocity, but better profit margins. Very few items on Amazon beat the scammers and high Amazon fees these days.

Yup, what I love is I can select central, or east, but they only want to take my shipments in Washington State, and still charge me a fee for this?
