Return Status - Immediate Disposal
I am in Canada, selling on the Amazon.ca website, via FBA, with only Canadian customers and returning items to the Canadian fulfilment centers.
This month some of my return are being disposed of, rather than allowing me to create a removal order. The return status is "immediate disposal". I think Amazon changed their policy, so I need to select the option to return my inventory instead. The default is now to enable disposal of returns at Amazon's discretion. The problem is to change the "Automated unfulfillable settings", I am only able to select a USA address. The drop down menu does not give me Canada as an option. The Region drop down also shows only USA states.
With regards to "Automated fulfillable settings" (ie aged inventory), I can automate this and select Canada as a return address. The issue is I cannot select Canada as the return address for UNFULFILLABLE inventory (ie returns)
How do I change this so that I can have my unfulfillable (ie customer returns) items sent back and not immediately disposed of?

Hey @Seller_oehN5MV4Jp1Bf
Thank you for reaching out regarding the issue you're facing with return settings and immediate disposal of returned items in Canada.
We want to assure you that Amazon values its selling partners and aims to provide a seamless experience. However, it's true that policies and procedures can vary across different marketplaces due to regional regulations and operational considerations.
Regarding your specific concern about the inability to select a Canadian address for unfulfillable inventory returns, we've researched this issue and found that there might be a limitation in the current system. While you can set automated removal order settings for aged inventory with a Canadian return address, the option to select a Canadian address for customer returns (unfulfillable inventory) is currently unavailable.
We understand that this limitation can be frustrating, especially if it leads to the immediate disposal of returned items, which could result in potential losses for your business. However, we want to assure you that Amazon takes seller feedback seriously and continuously works on improving its systems and processes.
In the meantime, we recommend reaching out to Seller Support to escalate this issue and request a solution or workaround. Seller Support agents have access to more detailed information and may be able to provide you with additional guidance or alternatives until the system is updated to accommodate Canadian return addresses for unfulfillable inventory.
If the case needs further attention from us or an additional investigation, you can pass me the case ID here to further replicate the matter from our end.
