X-Border warranty fulfillment

Greetings fellow sellers!

We have recently begun some international sales w FBA. We are not shipping FBA inventory internationally, but opted-in to Remote Fulfillment. One issue this has created for us, however, is warranty fulfillment. Our whole operation is in the USA. If Amazon sells something for us in the UK, that's great. What's not great is when we need to ship a warranty item to the customer. Our replacement parts are very light and typically pretty small. But even a small item can cost $35-$40 to ship to most parts of the world.

Ideally we'd like to begin stocking some inventory with FBA in some overseas FCs, but we'd also like to figure out if there's some mechanism through Amazon to ship replacement parts to customers, short of having a distributor in the territory.

Thank you in advance for any useful comments!

Hello there, my name is CR and wanted to hop in here.

Unfortunately, there is no mechanism that we have that would aid you in avoiding or mitigating the associated costs in the above scenario.

It seems you may have a product that is frequently warrantied out for products? If that is the case you may want to look at not having that be sold internationally by managing your ASIN here.

I'm sure some other sellers may chime in here as well with their experience.
