Insert Question

I have read so many mixed reviews and information and I'm trying to get a clear answer. I am going to be creating an insert for our orders that will go in BOTH of our packages (our .com and our amazon orders) so we want it to be compliant for both since we don't want our shipping department to accidentally put the wrong insert in an amazon order.

Our insert will say something like

"WE WOULD LIKE TO EXPRESS OUR SINCEREST GRADITUDE FOR CHOOSING (company) FOR YOUR RECENT PURCHASE. YOUR SUPPORT MEANS THE WORLD TO US AND WE ARE DELIGHTED TO HAVE YOU AS A VALUED CUSTOMER."

our 888 number and _____.com on the bottom

the other side has our logo on top and below it is a list of products ex:

LOGO

  • Hose assemblies
  • cam and groove fittings
  • vacuum pumps

is this compliant? Any help is greatly appreciated!

I would recommend you review the Product Insert Compliance video to make sure your inserts and messaging are aligned with Amazon policies.

Personally I am not sure if mentioning the website is compliant or not. Just a humble remark: I would never put the phone number on the packaging. Don't think that all customers are kind and friendly. Some ones will take the opportunity to get a refund or a free product threatening with a bad review. If you have an employee with patience and strong nerves to be sure he talks to everyone in a kind way, go on. But if you don't have the staff to explain a hundred times how to assemble your product - let it be.

Hi @Seller_LMOZwm5ECJxPV

My name is Sandy from the Community manager team here on forums. Thank you for your question here.

As mentioned by @Seller_OvL8C4BJWiuS9 the Product insert compliance does cover some information about this. For example, at 1:20 into the video, it states to never ask customers to contact you outside of buyer seller messaging platform. Including a phone number will not be compliant due to this reason.

Your question about adding a website will be potentially considered "redirecting" the customer. A potential alternative for this is to put it directly on your packaging if it's sold like that in big box stores.

Hope this helps and let me know if you have any questions.

Best,

Sandy

Sellers are discouraged (by Amazon) to NOT email buying Customers any update or verification of orders, as well as not "thanking" buying Customers for orders, so why then is an 'insert' allowed

Citation needed, Sandy. We have been reporting buyers and sellers, providing feedback, answering polls, etc etc and the platform just continues to get more seller-hostile over time. You show me that there's some benefit to doing your job for you (even ignoring the whack-a-mole problem of onboarding millions of sellers from China), and I'll consider doing that.
