Changing "Generic" to a branded name
Could you please advise on whether it is possible to change my listing from "Generic" to our branded name?
We have mistakenly sent our products to the listing with the brand name "Generic" when it should be our brand registered brand name.
I have seen and heard many people online have managed to change the brand name to their own after fighting a lot of Amazon support to reach someone in the Amazon team that can ACTUALLY help.
Our listing is new, and no customers have purchased or visited the webpage, so the "customer confusion" argument is invalid. There is no reason why the brand name cannot be changed.
Could someone at Amazon with the authority and knowledge to assist me in this matter please be contacted?
It is literally a minor change, it would have 0 impact to have the brand name changed with the Product ID updated...

No.
Hear-say! Proofs please!
There is no such person since what you are asking is a violation of the TOS. Sellers can NOT contact Amazon employees. As a seller your only contact possibility is to create a case under "Help" in seller central. And they will correctly tell you that a "Generic" listing can NOT be transformed in a branded listing.
....but a major violation.
What can you do? Your products will arrive. Put your listing now to "Inactive", like this the goods will go stranded. Once all your products stranded create a removal order. Amazon will send these back in batches (to an address in your marketplace), it will take weeks.
In the meantime you take a NEW UPC from GS1 and create a NEW listing with the correct brand name, YOUR brand. When you receive the first returns, stick the new FNSKU over the old one and send in again.
That is the ONLY way to save your products and your seller account. There is no smart work around. And if there is (because you will find people to tell you that), that boomerang will come back in two years and hit your head like a rock!

The information you received from @Seller_rI7BZIczK8iAC above is accurate.
Brand name changes on Amazon are not supported outside of typos and extremely minor changes. Going from "Generic" to a different brand name is a rebranding and above the threshold for a minor change.
