Having a constant problem with USPS

Hello all, I have a strange problem with my local post office, I believe they don't scan the packages the same day I drop them off. I visit the location every day and I never wait for receipt. It is a little town with little over a thousand people lives. I started getting A-Z claims hits just because "The customer has not received their package and our records indicate you shipped this order after the maximum handle time.". The item gets lost in delivery and Amazon fails the claim right away because they think I didn't ship it on the promised day.

How can I overcome this? Amazon is my only income and I have toddlers to feed at home. Thank you for your time

I always get a receipt. Either at the window or at the self-service kiosk. Both require a scan.

One of my local USPS workers also recommended dropping off before a certain time. This isn't the time shown on the mailboxes but an unofficial time. Otherwise, even if it's scanned, it may not actually ship until the next day because they wont include it in the outgoing shipment. My local USPS uses a contractor who drives a plain delivery truck to pick up daily packages. If it's too late to go on that truck, it doesn't go out that day. If it's Saturday, then it sits until Monday. Find out what that unofficial cutoff time is for your local office.

Also, if you're using cylindrical tubes with USPS, switch to boxes. They constantly "misplace" tubes. I've been told they roll away. I've had tubes lost or delivered a month late. For whatever reason, UPS doesn't have this problem.

Wait to get them scanned or one better, drop them off at a UPS store. Per UPS policy they require the USPS postal office to scan each package before it leaves their facility. When USPS picks up from my location, they don't even scan it half the time. It's a much safer route.

However, this could still fail(hasn't for us yet). The safest way is to stand in the horrible line and make them scan and provide a receipt.

Scan form is the only way to drop off. Otherwise, you will need to contact the hotline/website and have them pick up for you

The problem is nationwide. USPS is going through an operational transition due to facility closures and serious personnel shortages. Spoke with my locaI branch manager and got the low down. It's all over the news in the Atlanta area. You can thank Louis DeJoy for the mess.

do a scan sheet off of amazon. schedule a pickup and your local post person will pick up at your house, easy and a time saver
