Using UPS for pallet collection

Hi there everyone

I usually use PalletOnline for my pallet collections but I plan on using UPS for next weeks pallets.

Does anyone have any feedback on using UPS as Amazon preferred partner for LTL shipments?

Am I correct - I do the usual and click accept charges, and then UPS contact me? Do they? and do they collect when they say they will?

Also, Are they OK picking up with a tail lift?

Basically, any feedback from others that have used the service.

Thanks

I also use Palletonline.

If using UPS, at which point do you know the cost of the pallet delivery (preferred partner option)?

Before confirming, or do you have to confirm and then get the price?

I would be really interested to know how this works; as our local UPS are terrible for parcels, and I wondered if UPS pallet may be better (as they would have to send a wagon rather than keep telling me parcel delivery has no room on van & cancelling pick-up)

I have never shipped pallets before, so worried I could mess it up.

With normal UPS; you tell Amazon UPS etc, then go on UPS site and book collection.

Is that the same here? - or do you contact UPS differently if you have selected pallets?

Used them last week, it takes a few days for them to contact you as they need to set up a UPS supply chain account for you. Once set up collection date confirmed and notified via email the day before, they use a 3rd party to handle the collection of the pallets, so although UPS names on the service, they have outsourced the complete service. It was a tail lift collection as standard, future shipments should be quicker now we are setup but all in all a very easy experience.

I had an email from UPS yesterday with my account login, so I have printed my labels and it looks like my pallets will be collected Friday 2nd. A few days wait, but not too long.

I can see that future collections should be quicker. I will wait to book my next pallets until after collection, to make sure it goes ok.

Well they were collected this afternoon. Not by UPS, but that’s fine. Hopefully they arrive within a few days. I’ll be booking more for Tuesday next week, so hopefully they can collect the correct day.

Hi there, after completing the shipment from Amazon, did you go to UPS website and booked a collection? Or you don’t need to?

We have set our pallet’s ready for 2nd the Friday but still no communication or messages from UPS…

Pallet’s sitting in the warehouse collecting dust now…

Do you have to book a time slot when sending pallets to Amazon , I’m going over the threads and watching videos , learning about fba , I’m sure I remember reading that a timed delivery has to be arranged , ?
