Good Evening @Seller_8GlfKSPGkBCLb,

You should be able to edit most parts of your listing. Some things are set in stone such as brand and manufacture on the detail page. If you need assistance on editing your listing best practices check out this discussion I created a few months ago -->HERE<--

If there is something you are still unable to edit after trying the attempts listed in the post above, please reach out to Selling Partner Support. Feel free to post the CASE ID in this discussion once you have contacted support so we can follow the case along to the conclusion. Looking forward to hearing from you soon. Hope you have a great rest of the week.

Sincerely, Cooper_Amazon

My file feed history over the last couple weeks with 12-16 hour days of flat files, I've yet to come across a way to change "Item Package Quantity". This is a major error in the system, and when I try to create a parent listing, a lot of times, I'll get an error code. Mainly because when my listings were made, "number of items" and IPQ were generally the same for each variation. Now I find out IPQ should be "1" on all of them.

Here are my responses from Customer Service:

1. There's no attribute with that name

2. You can't change that

Customer service emails depend on the chat GPT model you're speaking to, and by the 3rd message, it depends on the human answering if they're a subject matter expert or not.

I sent in 15 files today, most of the time, I leave IPQ blank, and just fill out "number of items. I mainly do "variation wizard, tortuga files", active listing reports, category listing reports, flat file price, and category specific files.

If there is a file that exist on amazon to change the IPQ that you know of, that would be great. Customer service said they can change 15 at a time, then said they can't change em.

Next time time there is some sort of question for improvement for the site, the answer should be to make it easier for the sellers to edit their listings with impunity. Granted I used a 3rd party service to transfer ebay listings years ago that didn't fill em out correctly. But we should be able to change anything in the listing and any help features shouldn't lead to a website with endless pages of doctrine. Thanks for any tips

Also, there are a few similar posts on the forum, reddit etc. No one ever seems to know the answer to this one. There should be a major PSA to new people crating listings, that once you put in a number in that attribute, its set in stone for life.

Good Morning @Seller_8GlfKSPGkBCLb,

Thank you for the additional context. Could you please share the most recent CASE IDs you filed with Selling Partner Support where you shared the batch IDs and they told you that you were unable to edit the listing?

I'd like to see if they left any notes and what context they provided you with. I can also escalate it (if need be) once I have the CASE ID. Looking forward to hearing back from you soon.

Sincerely, Cooper_Amazon
