Amazon overcharged me storages fees and says it could never be reimburset, Is this a joke?

Amazon has mismeasured my product twice in the past few months. They assured me I would be reimbursed, yet to this day, I have not received a refund for the FBA fees or the storage fees.

What’s even more frustrating is that when I spoke with a support agent, they told me:

"Please be informed that once the storage fees have been charged, they can never be reimbursed as per Amazon's policies."

So Amazon mismeasured my product, promised a refund, and now refuses to reimburse the storage costs? And on top of that, I still haven't received my FBA fee reimbursement fully either?

Hi @Seller_WaZbRSgHEbreI,

I understand your frustration! The information you received about storage fees "never" being reimbursed isn't correct. Let me help clarify what the policy actually says.

According to the FBA fees reimbursement policy (link), Amazon will reimburse FBA fees when they confirm charges were based on inaccurate measurements. This includes storage fees - there's no exclusion for them in the policy.

Since you've already been in touch with support and they acknowledged the mismeasurement, here's what I'd suggest:

Open a new case through Seller Support and type "remeasure" in the search box - this will bring up the specific widget for measurement-related cases. When submitting your case, it might help to include:

  • Your previous case numbers where the mismeasurement was acknowledged
  • Data from your Monthly Storage Fees report showing the incorrect measurements
  • A note that reimbursement was previously promised

One important thing to keep in mind: the policy requires submitting reimbursement requests within 90 days of when the fee was charged. Since this happened "in the past few months," you'll want to reference this timeline in your case.

The help page mentions that Amazon needs about 10 days to review these requests, so you may need to be a bit patient. Also worth noting - they only accept one reimbursement request per fee charge, so make sure to include all relevant information in this case.

Hope this helps get your reimbursement sorted out! Let us know how it goes.

Best regards, Michael

Hello @Seller_WaZbRSgHEbreI

This is Sandy following up after escalating to the specialist team internally.

Their investigation shows that the initial change occurred in December, and the adjustment was properly processed according to the payments report.

Please be aware that these adjustments do not generate a reimbursement ID. Instead, reimbursements are issued per affected order. To view these adjustments, as previously explained in cases 16817406761, 17117040301please follow these steps:

1. Click the hamburger menu icon and go to “Payments.”

2. Select “Payments.”

3. Go to the “Transaction View” tab.

4. Under “Transaction Type” dropdown, select “Other”

In this report, each “Fee Adjustment - Weight and Dimension Change” entry represents a reimbursed order (order ID will be present on the “Order ID” column). The “Amazon fees” column shows the reimbursement amount for each specific order.

You can also view these via this link here.( sign-in required)

Please let me know if you have questions.
