I have been scammed again!

This time I paid Tracked 48 postage to receive an old kitchen cloth. It's not a lot of money but Amazon should have rules in place for things like this. Even because the reason for returning the item without paying the postage didn't make sense. Off to safe-T claims.

Disgraceful - Amazon buyers (not all !) are becoming too dishonest and know too well how to play the system.

Why was there no Safe-T claim? Normally, if you refund without a Safe-T claim, you're left unprotected. This has happened to me a few times customers return a completely different or cheaper item, or something with missing components that can't be resold. Neither we nor Amazon can completely stop this from happening, but Amazon needs to stop treating customers like they're always right no matter what. There should be a fair system in place sellers shouldn't be penalized when customers abuse the process.

send buyer message that you will name & shame them on social media.

and then amazon close your account. Remember we dont have contract with customers. We can only blame or try to recover from amazon. What ever you do to customers will back fire to you by amazon.

i understand that's a risk but when do we sellers decide to have a backbone and stand up to buyers who abuse the system. getting our money back from Amazon does not stop this cycle of behaviour it only feeds further into it as there is no blow back for customers.

Is it ok for someone to walk down the street to stab someone else? No its not, its against the law.

So is stealing and fraud, but we sellers, so scared of Amazon seem to be ok with letting buyers get away with it.

Because for many sellers Amazon is their livelihood or a large chunk of it, and like it or not we should act professionally. Personally I am not even a fan of name and shame and mob justice, I'd rather report them to Action Fraud or something like that, I am not going to break all privacy laws just to have a bit of a revenge.

i totally agree, that would be the best way forward as you suggest but the problem is not going to change until sellers stand up to buyers and Amazon. maybe I went too far with naming/shaming, but at least message the buyer to tell them you will report them to the police, and give them a chance to know they've been caught and their details will be logged with action fraud unless they offer some help to put the matter right.

its so sad to see we're all so desensitized to returns fraud when selling here on amazon.
