Incomplete Shipping Addresses - A-Z Claims

We have now received a second A-Z claim that Amazon granted because an item did not arrive. Any why? BECAUSE AMAZON PROVIDES US INCOMPLETE SHIPPING ADDRESSES.. Sometimes no name, other than a capital letter. Most times, NO STREET NAME, NO HOUSE / APT NUMBER etc. Just a city or town. How is a carried expected to know where Johns Smith lives in XYZ City? And yet, we had to ship--and surprise surprise, the item doesn't arrive and the Buyer has the audacity to place a claim and Amazon has the further audacity to say non-delivery or delayed delivery IS OUR FAULT AND PUTS THE CLAIM AND ASSOCIATED COSTS AGAINST OUR ACCOUNT.

Amazon CAN CLEARLY FIX THIS by not submitting orders with incomplete shipping addresses. Amazon - we need FULL ADDRESSES: A name, A street name, A house number, A city, a zip code. Their software should flag this easily. If the buyer doesn't provide it, don't send us the order implying the order is complete.

We have asked Amazon to review but so far: nothing.

This is So frustrating.

If you used Amazon buy-shipping and tracking shows acceptance scan within the required time frame, this A to Z claim should have been funded by Amazon with no impact to your metrics. If this is your situation, you should appeal, citing and quoting the Amazon buy-shipping promise.

I understand your frustration. @Seller_Hi7wbO2Kbo6blprovided good advice regarding the A to z claim.

Amazon is constantly working to ensure our zones rates and calculations are the most current, but as zip codes are added and updated there can be discrepancies.

Most carriers do use residential/commercial address classification technology, but where new neighborhoods are added to regions, until a delivery is actually made to an address in a new location, the technology cannot make a comparison.
