Need Help Closing My Deactivated Amazon Seller Account and related LLC business
Hello everyone,
I’ve been struggling for almost a year to close my Amazon Seller account, which was deactivated due to a Section 3 Review.
Amazon made a permanent decision to deactivate my account, and I’ve tried multiple times to reach out to support, but they keep asking me to reactivate my account first, which is impossible in my case.
Here’s my situation:
- My supplier is unable to provide their own invoices to verify a healthy supply chain and prove that the products were purchased directly from the brands or their authorized distributors.
- I don’t want any money or inventory back from Amazon.
- I’m shutting down the LLC I created for this business, closing the associated bank account, EIN, and all company-related matters.
- Before closing, I would like to receive/download any necessary documents from Amazon to properly finalize my business closures.
I just need Amazon to help me close my account so I can move on and finalize everything properly.
Has anyone faced a similar issue? Any advice on how to get Amazon to cooperate and close my account would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance!

You cannot close an Amazon account unless it is in good standing.
Get the documents you need for taxes, etc., downgrade to Individual, and walk away. There is nothing more you can do.

Hello @Seller_uespHcQsEkAHR,
Thank you for posting your concerns with your account deactivation and requested support to close the store.
I’ve been struggling for almost a year to close my Amazon Seller account, which was deactivated due to a Section 3 Review.

As mentioned by @Seller_nRFmxiQg4EGrw, a store that is currently undergoing a policy violation that resulted in its deactivation will not be eligible for closure. Per our close your account policy, we will require the store be in good standing.
I wanted to inquire on this statement. Was your supplier unable to provide supply chain documentation, or were they unwilling? I know some suppliers hesitate to provide their sourcing documents, but are they able or willing to provide a letter of authorization they have with the concerned brand or product?
Currently, I am paying approximately $180 per month in storage fees for the remaining inventory.
- I do not wish to continue paying these fees. I am fine with Amazon donating the inventory to charity or disposing of it—whatever works best.
Assuming that you are dealing with an IP violation, you need to create disposal orders, as the inventory will not be returned to you.
When you do so, post the number here, and tag a mod. They may be able to offer more insight.
Typically when it comes to situations surrounding authenticity, intellectual properties, or potentially dangerous goods , both funds and inventory will be held until the issue is resolved. As mentioned here by @Seller_nRFmxiQg4EGrw, you will need to create a disposal order to ensure all inventory is removed from the fulfillment centers. Have you already created a case for this, if so please follow their guidance and post the case ID here. I can ensure the appropriate teams are involved with the review of the inventory or make sure they are made aware of the issue, but with the limited visibility I have into your account, I would need that case ID.
As noted, I know you are not concerned with remaining funds, but I still wanted to inquire if you had attempted to reach out to our disbursement teams to see if any funds are eligible for release. You can follow the steps and use the email address in our funds withholding policy to request any remaining funds available. You may need to conduct an in-persona verification to confirm some details. If you are not interested in doing this there is no need to reach out, but I wanted to extend the option, as it is available.
The forums community and I are here to support you. Please let us know how we can help you from this point forward.
