Deactivation threatened because of Product Policy Compliance violation

I need some help as on my Seller Account as I have a box which states: “Your account is at risk of deactivation. A critical event has occurred with your account that has caused it to be at risk of deactivation. There is a button to link to Account Health”

I have been selling books and knitting patterns for at least 10 years on Amazon and I now have (yet another) worrying issue flagged up!

My Account Health page states: Policy compliance at risk

Suspected Intellectual Property Violations 11
Restricted Product Policy Violations 2

Product Policy Compliance 13

Of the Intellectual Property violations, 11 items state “listing removed” and 10 of these items state that their Account Health Rating Impact is nil

The top (11th) one states Account Health Rating Impact is high. This is a knitting pattern listed as: Children’s and Adult’s Walt Disney’s Mickey Mouse Motif Sweater 3 Knitting Pattern:

These violations were all knitting patterns and as far as I can see there are copyright issues (Disney characters etc) and I was quite happy to close all these listings (which anyway had been closed by Amazon.) BUT the issue is not resolved. I have a feeling that I am supposed to remove all the Amazon details as well but I do not have authority to do this. I have always listed using Amazon’s own inventory details, I have never added to, or altered, the latter.

The 2 Restricted Policy Violations refer to 1 book entitled: Archeofuturism: European Visions of the Post-catastrophic Age
and 1 knitting pattern listed as: Wendy Knitting Pattern 671 : Golly toy dolls (12in tall) (Double Knitting) which I can see is offensive and I totally agree it should have been removed.

Both these items have been delisted by Amazon and it is stated that their Account Health Rating Impact is nil

BUT I still have the threat of “unnecessary disruption to your selling account.” There is a button here which says “Contact us” BUT this links to a page which states “Sorry, you are not authorised to view this page.”!!

Did you not post re. this a few days ago ?
Anyway, I sell the same as you - mostly books, but also other media items and knitting patterns.
It will be the Disney ones that are causing the issue.
Even though they have been removed by Amazon, you need to delete them from your inventory - not just close, but ‘Delete Products and Listings’ from the action box on your inventory page.

The violations will remain on your account for 180 days (6 months !!) but will then disappear, and as they said will not affect your Account Health.
I’ve had loads - it is just disconcerting to see the ‘violations’ but they will disappear if you delete the listings.

Many thanks I will try this.
And yes, I did post this in general selling but I didn’t get any replies so I moved the query to account health.
I will let you know how it goes!

Hello @pgorman441,

I’m Kavi from Amazon, here to assist you.

Thank you for writing to the Seller Forums Community.

From your post, we understand that you need help with Account Health.

We would want to let you know that your Account Health Rating is altered due to various factors that do not limit to the policy violations on your account. There are multiple other selling activities and also the seller code of conduct that inclusively show an effect on your account and hence, we recommend you to keep a close eye on these performances as well.

Kindly be noted that we are recommending you to ensure that your account is void of all these activities, if any.

Please follow the appeal path given for each violation on your Account Health Dashboard.

In order to get an in-depth understanding of the issue, and to assist you better, we would request you to kindly post the screenshot of the performance notification or email pertaining to the violation.

Your inputs are highly appreciated @The_Little_Shop and @JillyB1. However, we always recommend to go to your Account Health Dashboard, click on “Edit” button and then remove the ASIN, if applicable in your case.

We request you to please go through the Account Health Rate Policy to know more about the calculation.

We have a detailed video in our Seller University about Account Health Rating. You can watch it using the link Here.

If you have further questions, please keep us posted, the forums community and I, are here to assist you with your concerns.

Regards,
Kavi

Kavi, your post is pretty useless. It is obviously a standard reply. Perhaps the best bit is the acknowledgement that litleshop and jilly have been helpful!
IF you had looked at all at my account you would see that there are no further issues in my account health section other that those I originally posted, so that part is not relevant.
I have been to my account health dashboard and I have no idea how to "remove the ASIN"even if this is applicable.
NONE of the items is now showing in my inventory so I can’t sell them and don’t want to, BUT how is this earning me the threat of deactivation?

Thanks little shop. I only sell to the UK so assume they are removed from this, sole, inventory.
And, no, the violations haven’t gone even though I went into each one and clicked on the “Delete Products and Listings” choice from the drop down menu. They no longer appear in my inventory.

Yes yes yes! Hoorah! Deactivation threat gone!
I managed to get to a screen where I could contact Amazon and I said that all descriptions and listings which referenced the copyright items have now been removed.
BUT i wonder why:
1 Amazon had them on its own inventory without a warning to the general sellers
2 If they had received notification later from the originators they could have messaged me to delist
3 They didn’t tell me in plain English what to do and what buttons to press. All I had was warnings!

But then again this is Amazon! And many many thanks to Jilly and littleshop.
