DAC7 - Unable to enter the company registration number
Hello dear colleagues,
I'm facing another issue related to DAC7; I'm receiving another verification request with a 50-day countdown.
I'm being asked to provide the "company registration number" (see screenshot), but when I click to enter the information, an error message appears: "We cannot process your request. You are currently undergoing another verification. Please retry once the verification is completed."
This has been going on for almost two weeks, despite the case I opened. I have all the necessary information, but I’m unable to submit it.
Do you have any idea what could be causing this problem and how it can be resolved? It’s quite frustrating because I have all the requested information but can’t submit it.

Im experiencing the same issue I have been trying to resolve this through support tickets and requested calls from Amazon several times now and 35 days later Im STILL having the same issue. Every time the case gets «escalated to the responsible team» and no resolution is provided.
I am experiencing an issue while trying to add my Business Registration Number for VAT/TIN compliance.
As a sole proprietor in Portugal, I do not have a separate Business Registration Number. My business and personal tax number are the same, linked to my NIF (Número de Identificação Fiscal) .
And according to Amazon Seller Central article https://sellercentral.amazon.es/help/hub/reference/popup/30394, my Business Registration Number should correspond to my VAT number.
So why does their system reject my VAT number (which it says IS VERIFIED on the same page) when I enter is as my Business Registration Number? It makes no sense! My page is showing warnings every time I open any page it wants me to resolve the issue saying I only now have 20 days left!
This is so frustrating! @amazon we need someone to fix this PLEASE!

I actually tried, but I end up on the same page that I sent the screenshot of. Everything is empty. And as soon as I write to modify, it tells me that a verification is in progress. And that's been the case for a long time now, which worries me. Whereas I have all the information requested in the form.

There are 39 days remaining on the countdown. Based on your experience, do you think the verification will be completed by then?

I totally understand the frustration when things are not immediately obvious in how to resolve them. Thank you for your patience. I have heard back from the internal team and they've noticed your account business legal form is listed as "corp" (entity). As an entity, you are required to provide your Company Registration Number information.
We understand you're experiencing an issue when trying to edit your Account Info. Specifically:
- When clicking "Edit in Account Info", you're redirected to the [Business Information] page.
- You're seeing an error message: "You are currently undergoing another verification".
- There is no business information displayed on this page.
To resolve this and proceed with your DAC7 compliance, please follow these steps:
1. Confirm your business type is indeed "Entity".
2. To update your Legal Name or Company Registration Number, please submit a request to the SPS team. In your request, include:
- The type of information you need to update
- The existing value of the information
- The correct value to be added
3. After the SPS team has made the updates, return to the DAC7 Compliance Portal.
4. On the DAC7 compliance portal page, you should see a pop-up with a "Refresh Page" button. Click this button to display your updated information.
5. If you don't see the updated information after refreshing, please check back after 24 hours or click on the "Refresh to update" link.
6. If the issue persists and the updates are not shown after 1 week, please create another case with seller support explaining the issue.
7. Once your Company Registration Number is updated, you should be able to save and continue to the final section [Confirm and declare] to complete your DAC7 compliance submission.
I do want to know if these steps are successful. Please reach back out with the updates and your experience with this guidance

Hello,
To keep you informed: Good news. I was able to change the company name.
In case anyone has the problem. You remember it said that a verification was in progress and consequently I couldn't modify anything. It turned out that in parallel with this, I was in the process of opening my Amazon Wallet account and I was asked on this account, in particular, my company number. That I was able to modify on it. And the moment I did, it "unblocked" the DAC7 verification and I was able to confirm and validate. My account is compliant again.
So in summary, if this happens to anyone, check if they don't have an Amazon Wallet registration process in progress.
