New Business Address Question (FBA)

Hello,

I’m about to start the verification process for a UK private ltd Company.

I have already created the ltd company and a business bank account - however, both are currently registered with my home address.

I wish to change this before progressing with the verification process (as an aside I have emailed the verification team several times in the past to request exactly which documents are required and had no response)

Anyway, is a virtual address or a PO box preferable for Companies House and Business Bank Account for this purpose?

Thank you!

It is entirely up to you as to where your registered office address is located. Just one thing to bear in mind; all of your registers need to be located at your registered office. If you use a virtual address, you will need to make an arrangement with the owner to store your registers safely. A bank may also not be very amenable to a virtual address.

You can use a PO Box for Companies House but they also require a physical address and postcode, in addition, which is publicly viewable on the database. A bank won’t accept a PO Box on it’s own. They too will require a physical address and postcode. This link might help you further:

A lot of companies employ their accountant to be their agent and therefore use the accountant’s address.
