URGENT: Unauthorized Seller / Hijacker On Amazon Listing (Brand Registered + Trademarked)
Hey everyone,
We’re currently dealing with a hijacker/unauthorized seller on one of our Amazon listings, and I’m hoping someone here can offer guidance on the best next steps.
Here’s our situation:
• Our product is fully protected under a registered U.S. trademark, and we’ve been Brand Registered on Amazon since 2023.
• We are the sole manufacturer of the product. It’s also covered under U.S. copyright protections, so there is no legitimate way this seller could have authentic units.
• We’ve made multiple attempts to contact the seller, and even sent a cease & desist letter—no luck. Instead, they’ve dropped their price even lower and seem to be digging in.
• We submitted a “Report a Violation” through Brand Registry for trademark infringement, but haven’t heard back yet.
• I also reached out directly to Brand Registry support, but the help was vague and unproductive.
• We’ve recently started enrolling the product into Amazon Transparency, but it’s still in process and not fully active yet.
Here’s where I’m stuck:
Do I need to actually order the product from this hijacker to prove it’s counterfeit? I’ve heard mixed advice about whether that’s required or helpful when it comes to escalation.
Has anyone successfully removed a hijacker under similar circumstances? Any advice on how to fast-track this or escalate it more effectively?
We’re doing everything by the book, but it feels like we’re being punished for playing fair. Any insights, experiences, or resources would be incredibly appreciated.
Thanks in advance 🙏

I can't say if you "NEED", but it would accelerate the things. You order as CUSTOMER, and you complain as CUSTOMER. Describe the differences between the product received and the product description, first of all the brand name. In case they even use the same brand it's another process because then it's a real counterfeit that need legal prosecution.
Amazon will take this seller down from your listing, but like anything on Amazon: it will need time. But do this and afterwards you won't have such problems since you will use transparency codes.

We've been dealing with the exact same issue. Your description could be my exact situation also.
I have had so much runaround, made Brand Registry claims. Trademark claims with back up.
Amazon seller support even told me in a chat on record last week that they can see my item has been tampered with by the fraudulent brand, but says they can't do anything about it because AMAZON can't change the fraudulent listed brand once it's in the AMAZON catalog!.
My long term customers are making reviews that say they've received product that is in correct and all AMAZON does is refund their money.
This weekend I actually received 3 product returns of that were a clamshell sealed, half filled with vaseline, fake product with my fake image on the back!! Wrong SKU, wrong ASIN. No help from 3 different amazon seller support departments.
I've been selling this product on AMAZON for 15 years.
If anyone has any words of advice-PLEASE REPLY.
