ASIN Suppressed for Alleged HTML/JavaScript – Never an Issue in 6+ Years
Hello, We’re experiencing a sudden issue with one of our top-performing ASINs, which has been Search Suppressed with the following error:
“Remove any non-compliant mark-up from attribute [item_description] to ensure your data meets Amazon's guidelines: Don’t use HTML, JavaScript, or other types of code in your product detail pages.”
This ASIN has been active for over 6 years without any issues, and there has never been HTML, JavaScript, or any non-compliant code in the item description. We have not made any changes to the listing prior to this suppression.
To address this, we carefully reviewed the item description to confirm it is clean and compliant, saved updates as a precaution, and waited more than 48 hours for the system to refresh. Despite these efforts, the suppression alert remains, and the listing is still inactive.
This is the first time we’ve encountered this issue, and it is now significantly impacting our sales during a critical period.
Has anyone else faced a similar situation where a long-standing ASIN was suddenly flagged for non-existent HTML/JavaScript? How can we identify what the system is flagging so we can resolve this quickly?
We would greatly appreciate any guidance or support, as this suppression feels like a system error and has caught us completely off guard.

Hi there @Seller_dTGQsVwjYcNVz,
I'm sorry you have been having issues with your ASIN being identified as non-compliant and suppressed. I'd like to review to see what I can from my end on what might have caused this issue. Can you please provide your most recent Seller Support Case? Thank you for your understanding.
