Anonymous 1 star ratings with no comments!
I have a book listed on Amazon via KDP. All the verified reviews have names and comments and are either 4 or 5 star. There are also 2 x 1 star reviews and one 3 star with no name and no comment, nor verified purchases, which are bringing my rating down. They cannot be real reviews as they appeared too quickly - within a week of publication - for anyone to have received and read the 400 page book, and it is impossible to leave a star review with no name and no comment. I have tried! This must be a hack and they should be removed, or they are left by people irritated by being bombarded by review requests from Amazon?

People can leave 1-star ratings without comments using their Echo devices.
What makes it worse is that some people wrongly believe that 1-star is the best.
Or they left the 1-star by mistake.
Or they just didn’t like the book.

The "benefit" to you is that reviews with no comment or non-verified purchases are weighted less by Amazon and so do not impact your overall rating as much as "proper" reviews.
