Basically, if you don’t have an office or warehouse that is actually staffed and managed, in the UK, you are a NETP.
As such, you do not have the benefit of the threshold (85k, not £80k), and will have to register for VAT, the moment your goods hit the UK shore.
If your really not sure and want to confirm it, ring HMRC. They will tell you straight.

And if they have forged documents that have then been provided to Amazon, then it may well be game over, as that is a Red Liine you cannot cross with Amazon, forged documentation will be almost impossible to recover from.

9.2 UK establishment: definition
A UK establishment exists if either the:
- place where essential management decisions are made and the business’s central administration is carried out is in the UK
- business has a permanent physical presence with the human and technical resources to make or receive taxable supplies in the UK
We would normally consider a company which is incorporated in the UK to have an establishment in the UK as long as it’s able to receive business supplies at its registered office.
in the light of last paragraph, i think i am not NEPT, m i right or not?
Seller_esvgLzKXw2YAl
Yes, your a NETP. That is why if you store stock in the UK, you must be registered for VAT.
It’s exactly what was trying to be avoided.
Seller_XWGbfU644XAkQ
no i am literally not avoiding, i just making sure. because i thing that i am an estamlishment with UK because my company is registered in UK. i want to just clear this concept
Seller_esvgLzKXw2YAl
No, I understand that. I was referring to what had happened, nothing else.
Seller_XWGbfU644XAkQ
i really appreciate your concern . but still i am confused because i have read all the articles related to VAT registration of UK but i havn’t found my selft as NEPT. may be i am wrong but as my thinking i am not NEPT and i don’t have to register VAT until i cross the threshold of 80000
Seller_NoMNQDGnEW5Bx
Your admin department is not in the UK and your virtual address can’t receive stock therefore you’re a NETP
