High price error dealer fraud

This book, which came out 24 years ago and is no longer in print, was released on publication with a list price of $27.95. Amazon currently has listings for used copies ranging from $63 to $108. My copy, which was priced competitively at $55, and put on your site on April 4th or 5th, was delisted for a potential high pricing error. When I went to check the error, I find that someone has reset the list price at $1.00. Which if true should affect every other listing for this book on Amazon, all of which are still active, and not just my lowest price listing. I suspect that another dealer decided to have my listing blocked because my price was lower than theirs and they didn't want the competition, knowing as they do that any effort to get a site correction will result only and repeatedly with the standard response that "your price is too high." I couldn't even open a case requesting an investigation because as soon as I submitted it, I got yet another notice that I had a high pricing error and telling me where I could go to fix it. This is extremely frustrating.

The reason that you got an error but the other copies are still active is that the bot checks every listing when it is added or edited, but rarely for listings that are just sitting there. (not saying in your case it's legit; this is a long running problem with books using out-of-date 'list' prices). Your only way around it may be to list in Collectable condition; OOP is considered a legit reason to be Collectable, and must be listed in the condition notes. Just be aware that you won't get the BB, and won't show up in as many searches, but I've sold many books this way to get the proper price when Amazon insisted on the old list price.
And to tag a mod, you have to start typing their name, then select from the list; Just typing the whole thing doesn't work.
