Non-Prime customers on Prime - Only RM Tracked 24 available on buy shipping. Cost me £250! AMAZON REP PLEASE ANSWER!
Hi. I recently lost £255 because of this problem. I have SFP enabled, but if a non-Prime customer orders an item on Prime, then in "Buy Shipping" only Royal mail Tracked 24 is selectable, even though the customer does not have a Prime account. I asked Seller Services about this and they just told me to buy then postage directly from Royal Mail instead for these orders and then be sure to upload the tracking to Buy Shipping. So this is what I did for months. Until a customer claimed he had not received his item, even though it was showing as delivered (I sent via Tracked 48, buying the postage directly in Click and Drop and uploading the tracking as I had been advised). The item showed as delivered to his designated safe place, complete with photo, but Amazon refunded him £255. I tried to claim it back through Safe-T claims, but they refused, as I had not used Buy Shipping. They did not care that Amazon had actually told me to do things this way, or that it is impossible to purchase standard shipping for standard orders of Prime items.
So, does anyone have any idea how I can send standard orders, for items on SFP, without using premium postage? This all seems to be Amazon's fault, so I would like a response from someone from Amazon, please.

Good luck with that - Amazon mods are conspicuous by their absence on the forum nowadays

I don't think using buy shipping would have protected you from the financial side of this, only the defect. Amazons default setting at the moment for A-Z claims for INR is refund and decline any appeals despite what proof you have of delivery.

Actually, based on experience, Buy Shipping no longer seems to protect your account from the defect (despite what it says in the policy help pages). Ive had this issue several times where customer claimed INR and even though Buy Shipping was used to get the shipping label, the defect was still applied to my account.
OP - as others have said, Amazon will often change the options for buying a label if they think certain couriers/services will not deliver on time. I had an order once where Royal Mail was not given as an option at all. Only Evri came up. As I have no account with Evri and nearest drop off was a 10 mile round trip, I had to put that order through Click & Drop even though it was a SFP order and I was supposed to use Buy Shipping.
Ive given up on SFP and Buy Shipping now (due to both the problems with Buy Shipping with Amazon changing allowed methods to send and the fact it no longer protected my accounts from defects) . Also, as my prices had to include the premium of sending Tracked24 anyway I felt it unfair on anyone not in Prime paying the extra. Instead I reduced my prices and setup Premium delivery options instead so customers can upgrade if they require.
