Sellers fees
been testing how much it will cost me to sell a item it breaks down as.
£10.00 selling
£ 2.28 Amazon Fees
£ 2.64 Fulfilment
£ 0.04 Storage
£ 1.67 Vat
What is the 20% vat showing me cost of as its not 20% of the sales figure or the fees ?

It is the VAT on the item price.
Your Item Price is £10. To get the price of the item without VAT you divide by 1.20 which equates to £8.33
£10 minus £8.33 is £1.67

thanks so do amazon take the £1.67 off you if you are not vat registered?
Seller_d8YGbIjNqwFxn
No they shouldn't take the £1.67 off if you are not VAT registered.
You will need to pay 20% VAT on the fees though if that is not included in the figures you gave.
What category are you listing in as the Amazon Fee seems really high at £2.28

I was looking at selling brooch, this one I'm looking at is £2.79 which £2.04 is fees and £0.75 per item fee.
Is there anywhere I can sign up on a free trial to see how many items are sold per month,or is jungle scout the best ?

That makes sense you are on the individual plan so you pay an extra 75p per transaction.
If you move to the professional plan you will not have to pay the 75p per transaction but instead will have to pay £30 a month subscription.
The individual plan is the best way to probably go forward in the short term to see how many you sell. If you sell many you can always upgrade to the professional plan.
