Shipping Holdback

Hello,

Doea anyone know why i am getting charged a "shipping holdback fee" for FBM items i am shipping out myself. This only seems to be happening when i charge the buyer a fee and when i don't charge the buyer a fee i am not getting this shipping holdback fee taken off of the sales price.

For the orders which the buyer pays extra for i don't use buy shipping so unsure what it is for.

Have contacted seller support but they keep sending me to a link that doesn't explain my question.

Any help would be appreciated!

Hey @Seller_t1Xqy02K9JCwp,

The shipping holdback fee is usually a percentage of the shipping cost you charge the buyer.

Even if you don't use Amazon's shipping service, they'll take a cut of whatever you charge for shipping as part of their commission fees.

This fee is applied when the seller, not Amazon, is responsible for handling the shipping process.

I hope this clarifies your doubt! Ezra.

What fees are you charging? Do not Amazon charge the buyer the shipping rate you have set so they can take the correct amount when the buyer places the order?

Amazon charge commission on everything otherwise sellers would charge 1p on the item and £20 postage. Always ensure that you include all fees in your costing calculation.
