Auto enrol for selling in the EU

I keep getting Auto enrolled to sell on different Amazon EU market places, the latest is Amazon Belgium. They have also signed me up for “Enable inventory storage” in Germany. How do I stop amazon making changes to the settings on my account? I just want to sell FBA in the UK only?!

They have done this each time a new country has been rolled out.
It effects everyone and not just you.

Just be aware of it and disable the listings AND the BIL entry that will be there.

Thanks so much for the reply. What is a BIL entry? Shocking they also signed me up for Germany storage when I don’t have an EU VAT number, I only have a UK VAT number! This is going to create businesses all kinds of tax and legal problems!

They emailed about Belgium so we knew it was coming and could take action. Unfortunately you couldn’t opt out until they had created the listings. Mine were created the other day and I deleted them via Build international listings

As with Germany I have just seen this on my FBA settings page…looks like they auto enabled it yesterday. Nice of them to tell us!

At least we are all in the same boat, but how can Amazon get away with auto signing us up to a VAT tax liability?
I guess I will just have to check by FBA settings every day to make sure this doesn’t happen again!
