Valid Tracking Rate below 95%
I ship all my items under through untracked delivery methods - Royal Mail Stamps/Franking. Why do I get a notification that my tracking rate is below 95% where I should be exempt from this according to Amazon. Has anyone else had the same issue?
The following shipments are considered as exempted shipments
- Domestic Orders delivered through a carrier which is not integrated with Amazon 2. Digital products, e.g. Audio Book 3. EU Cross border deliveries, e.g. deliveries that are ordered on Amazon.co.uk and are dispatched from an EU country 4. International deliveries (excluding deliveries that are dispatched from China): International packages that are ordered on Amazon.co.uk but dispatched from outside the UK or China 5. **Domestic deliveries dispatched through untracked delivery methods, for example Royal Mail Stamps/Franking** 6. Deliveries that are dispatched using labels purchased on Amazon’s Buy Shipping Services (also known as MSS)

They haven’t updated that page still. But the VTR policy changed in April/May time having been announced in March.
Stamps/Franking as a shipping confirmation method no longer meets the BTR policy. Anything untracked (ie Royal Mail Stamps) now needs to be purchased through Amazon Buy Shipping.

Based on my observations from your post, I want to provide you with a sense of direction moving forward.
The Valid Tracking Rate (VTR) is all shipments with a valid tracking number as a percentage of total shipments during a given 30-day time period. VTR only applies to seller fulfilled orders.
Amazon’s customers depend on tracking numbers to find out where their orders are and when they can expect to receive them.
We will not calculate your Valid Tracking Rate for the following shipments (“VTR-exempt shipments”):
- Your shipments which are not Fulfilled by Merchant shipments;
- Your domestic shipments delivered by non-integrated delivery service providers;
- Your domestic shipments delivered with untracked delivery services.
- Your deliveries of digital products, for example, audio book;
- Your shipments that are ordered on amazon.co.uk, but dispatched from outside the UK, unless dispatched from China directly to customers; and
- Your self-delivered shipments (that is, shipments delivered using your own logistics)
Note: If you are using Royal Mail stamps, your shipment will only be exempt if you buy Royal Mail 1st and 2nd class letter stamps through Amazon Buy Shipping. Royal Mail 1st and 2nd class letter stamps are available through Amazon Buy Shipping at no additional cost.

But as has been stated many times, buying shipping from amazon does not give the buyer any indication when they will receive their item just cost them more.
