New Seller / Account Health / Deactivated Account / No refund £30?

So I started a new amazon account "individual" trying to sell a few things to make some extra cash. They decided to sign me up to the pro which I have now downgraded, they then decided to deactivate my account and still charge me the £30. I keep trying to call them but the call option just keeps randomly ending ? I opened a ticket and they said they cant refund me. how is this even Legal? just basically stole my money and closed my account ?

I cant believe this is Amazon :O

OK, several things here. The Individual Seller Account is ONLY for selling off one's own personal second-hand items, eg, books, DVDs, CDs etc.- is that what you wanted to do ?

If you are buying items to sell on for profit then you MUST have a Business Seller Account and be registered with HMRC as self-employed sole-trader.

When did you register ? - if only recently, then all new accounts are deactivated whilst they check and verify all the info you have provided - both personal ID and business info, and you just have to be patient.

Professional is the name of one of the two selling plans (the other is the individual plan, which is NOT the same as the Individual Seller Account ), where you pay £30 a month, as you have discovered. How did you downgrade ? - did you do it via your account info ? - Settings (cog wheel top right) - Account info - Your services - Manage. If you did it correctly they will not charge you anymore. They will only refund you if you have not sold anything, but if you have downgraded correctly you will not be charged again.
