Returns and Auto-authorized

I am a merchant seller, can anyone help with the return process, i understand that Amazon auto-authorize the customer return request on first scan, i refund once i have received and checked the item is OK

If i have not received the item back but it has a tracking number and been auto-authorized by amazon, what can i do about this? as basically Amazon have refunded but i am still waiting for the item to be returned to me

Any help please

In most cases this is incorrect. The procedure now is.

  • customer requests return - amazon supply return label
  • IF customer uses that return label - customer is refunded on first scan - ie, at the point they drop off the return. If the customer is liable for the return label - this is deducted from the refund
  • If there are any issues with the returned item (not as supplied or damaged, or incorrect return code used) you can open a Safe-T Claim with amazon once the item has been returned
  • If the return is lost in post - you need to take this up with the courier (another issue here though)

You can exclude items from the prepaid return label scheme - but only those over £100.
