Error 8560 when bulk uploading after deleting incorrect SKU data

We previously had SKU's with incorrect product data, so I saw that it is best to delete the SKU and re upload with correct details. When uploading my template none of the SKU are processing. On the Feed Processing Summary the main issue is Error Code 8560 "SKU 12345, Missing Attributes standard_product_id. SKU 12345 doesn't match any ASINs. Make sure that all standard product ids (such as UPC, ISBN, EAN, or JAN codes) are correct. To create a new ASIN, include the following attributes: standard_product_id. Feed ID: 0. For more troubleshooting help, see http://sellercentral.amazon.com/gp/errorcode/200692370"

Do I need to wait longer for the deleted SKU's to actually clear from Amazon's system before re uploading? Or should I add something like an "A" or "-1" to the end of them so they are "new SKU's".

Thanks for the help

Hi @Seller_G8SwOKeV38bb2,

The error can have several causes according to the Error 8560 help page:

  • Invalid values in your template
  • Missing required fields
  • Product ID not matching any ASINs
  • Expired GTIN exemption (if you had one)

About the timing of reuploading SKUs - I think this might be key to your situation. The Manage Inventory help page (link) mentions that "After you delete a SKU from your inventory, you cannot add an identical SKU and associated product information until 24 hours have passed."

You could either wait out the 24-hour period or create new SKUs. If you're interested in the second option, there's a helpful note in the Inventory Loader documentation that suggests "as a best practice, sellers should assign a new SKU to each new product being sold."

Whichever route you choose, just make sure your template includes all the required product identification fields (UPC, ISBN, EAN, or JAN) since that's what the error message is specifically flagging.

Hope this helps point you in the right direction! Let us know if you need any clarification.

Best regards, Michael

You can not change the title of an existing ASIN. You can not make a sock become a shoe but have to create a new listing.
