FBA Reimbursements - Whats the process

HI,

I’ve recently started using FBA and have received a few emails in the last week where the buyer has been refunded. A couple of these are from Amazon France (even though I put all Amazon France on holiday so would have thought I shouldn’t even get such orders). My question is, whats the process? I presume that Amazon takes the responsibility of FBA orders and they should reimburse the value to me? My concern is that I just checked a reimbursement from FBA UK and the reimbursement was £8 something on an order of £14.49. Can some please shed any light?

FBA reimbursements should be at expected profit amount for sellers that are VAT registered, for sellers that aren’t VAT registered Amazon offer unfavourable amounts due to effectively deducting VAT twice.

  • Amazon’s determination of ‘sale value’ (usually listed price or average sale price over the last few weeks)
  • Minus VAT from sale price (even if not VAT registered)
  • Minus Amazon fees (including VAT if not VAT registered)
  • Minus FBA fees (including VAT if not VAT registered)

If the refund amount is below the item’s purchase value you can ask Seller Support to review it, but you’ll need to provide them with an invoice or receipt.

I don’t think seller holiday setting affect FBA do they? Isn’t that the point of FBA?

Peter is correct holiday settings only come into effect for FBM orders, FBA orders will still go out.

If you want to avoid your FBA stock being sold while on holiday you’ll need to convert your FBA stock to FBM. Just select ‘Convert to fulfiled by merchant’ (NOT convert and send). Then when you get back just convert it back to FBA again.

Can’t think why you’d want to stop selling FBA while on holiday though because you’ll still have to check into your account daily anyway just incase of any issues.
